Hike is a friendly app to communicate with people, day by day it is adding up with its new features where the crowd will be awed. Previously the Natasha a female talking robot option is added where everyone are used to it. Now its latest version came up with even more catchy features within it in its unique style.Hike 5.0 is Hike’s most power packed release till date. Hike has launched payments and a wallet within the app that lets users transfer money to each other, including non-hike users for free. The highlight of payments on hike is Blue packets, a fun way to gift money for every occasion.
Hike says “users can choose from over 10 different beautifully crafted envelopes and also add a personalized message to it to celebrate those special occasions. A Blue Packet can be sent to an individual or even a group of friends. If you give Blue Packets to a group of your friends, you can have a little fun and select how many people in the group should get it. It works on a first come first serve basis and a Blue Packet when sent expires in 24 hours.” In group chats, the Blue Packet option has a ‘Surprise’ option for the first opener of the packet.
Hike 5.0 introduces mobile payments
Apart from money transfers, Hike 5.0 now supports prepaid recharges and postpaid bill payments. Other changes and new features being touted by the company include 128-bit SSL encryption, and performance improvements alongside a reduction of the app size from over 40MB to around 25MB. Person to person money transfer and full-fledged Digital Wallet, using UPI interface. The payment processing mechanism for P2P and Mobile Wallet would be provided by Yes Bank. Besides, the UPI platform can be also used to send money to the bank or receive money from any bank account, just like how UPI works.
Ritesh Pai, chief digital officer at Yes Bank said, “The systems, SDKs (software developer kits) and APIs that are needed for carrying out digital transactions are provided by Yes Bank. Hike controls the front-end which is UI (user interface) and owns the customers,” As per Mittal, Hike has 100 million users as of now (which we reported last year), and an average user spends close to 24 minutes per day on the app.
