At least 32 people died and a few others were harmed as a TSRTC transport tumbled from a limited ghat street into a crevasse at Kondagattu in Jagtyal area on Tuesday morning. The exact toll, however, isn’t clear as safeguard and rescue operations are still on.

The transport has a place with Jagtyal terminal of the state-possessed road transport partnership was on the way to Kondagattu carrying 62 pilgrims, when the disaster happened. Senior authorities have hurried to the spot and the bodies are being recovered from the valley. Rescue workers are hurrying the harmed to nearby hospitals.
The casualties were on their way to a hilltop sanctum when the accident happened. The holy place temple is devoted to Sri Anjaneya Swamy, which is seeing the immense surge of pilgrims nowadays.
As indicated by reports, the transport overturned four times previously it fell into the canyon. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has communicated sadness over the occurrence. He guided authorities to give better medicare to the harmed.
Jagityal district SP Sindhu Sharma and district collector Sharath have hurried to the spot. Karimnagar in-charge minister Eatala Rajender has been guided by the chief minister to go the spot to administer safeguard operations. In the meantime, the government has reported an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh for the closest relative of the people who have lost lives in the accident.
