Six positive cases of deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) have been accounted for in India up until now, the Union Health Ministry informed on Tuesday.

As indicated by the Ministry, the new cases of COVID-19 have been accounted for from New Delhi, Telangana, and Rajasthan where an Italian national has been found positive with the contamination in Jaipur. A month ago, three cases were recorded in Kerala – who have now recouped and released from the medical clinic.
The Health Ministry has also expressed that six people with suspected COVID-19 have a heavy viral burden and are being isolated and are steady. Their samples have been sent for testing.
Also, 24 people, including 21 Italian tourists and three Indians (counting a transport driver, conductor and a visitor direct), who had interacted with the Italian national in Jaipur, have been moved to the ITBP office for testing. Contingent upon the outcome, the future game-plan will be taken, said the Health Ministry.
Seeing the seriousness of the circumstance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday tweeted that he has looked into the circumstance of coronavirus and India’s readiness to manage the worldwide pandemic, assuring residents that there was no motivation to freeze.
The Cabinet Secretary held an audit meeting through video conference with the secretaries of concerned services, chief secretaries and health secretaries of the States to survey and evaluate activity taken for control of COVID-19.
In the interim, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that the Delhi government has made full preparations to handle the circumstance. For giving treatment to the patients, 25 Delhi clinics – including 19 government medical clinics and six private hospitals – have been prepared to deal with the inundation of patients if there should be an occurrence of a crisis.
“Isolation facility has been provided in these hospitals and 230 beds have also been made available. Beds will also be made available to doctors and other staff treating the cases in the hospital. The Delhi government has also arranged for the distribution of more than 3.50 lakh N95 masks. Around 8000 separation kits have also been arranged,” he said.
