More than 17,000 policemen will be appointed for the final procession of Ganesh idols for immersion on Sunday, 22nd September. Aside from 13 units of Greyhounds, two units of Octopus will also be a part of bandobast. Around 14,500 Ganesh statues from Hyderabad, Rachakonda, Cyberabad commissionerates, and Ranga Reddy district are relied upon to be immersed in Hussainsagar. Forces of all units of Hyderabad police have been pressed into service. The main procession will begin at Keshavagiri to Hussainsagar through Chandrayangutta, MJ Market, Charminar, Abids and Basheerbagh. Different processions originating from Balapur, Pahadi Sharif, Maheswaram, Mahankali of Rangareddy region will join the main procession at Keshavagiri. Another procession from Mehdipatnam will go through Mallepally Crossroads and Bazarghat and join at MJ Market.
