At least 17 people were killed in a massive fire broke out at a hotel in central Delhi’s Karol Bagh on Tuesday morning.

The fire service and police authorities pulled out around 50 people from the hotel in a four-hour long rescue operation. Many people were extremely harmed and have been conceded for treatment. Around 35 people were rescued securely.
The figure of casualties was shared by sources at the RML emergency clinic. The official figures have not been released yet.
The episode was accounted for from Arpit Hotel around 4.35am. On the whole, 22 fire tenders were sent to the spot and the flame was brought leveled out by 7.30am. Flame authorities said cooling tasks were launched around 8am.
The police have enrolled a FIR regarding the occurrence and are testing if there was any neglegence on part of the hotel.
The reason for the fire is yet to be found out however authorities presume a short out may have triggered it. The local group of fire-fighters will conduct an enquiry too. Delhi government has ordered an enquiry.
