Telugu actor Ram Pothineni, who was most recently seen in Puri Jagannadh’s iSmart Shankar, is waiting for the arrival of his upcoming flick, Red. The movie, directed by Kishore Tirumala, should hit the theaters on April 9. However, presently, talk has it that its release has been delayed because of the Covid-19 emergency.
Will Ram Pothineni’s RED Releasing Digital?
Since the film’s release has been postponed, rumors began doing the rounds that the film may release on OTT stages. However, the iSmart Shankar actor took to Twitter to invalidate the rumors and affirmed that the film will make it to the theaters.
Taking to Twitter, Ram wrote, “Nope! #RAPO is not in any dilemma..in fact he’s been chilling at home following the Government’s rules on Social Distancing & Home Quarantine.( like he’s been doing for the past 15 years or so..) & also, he’s waiting to see his fans watch #RedTheFilm on the BIG SCREEN! (sic).”
A report earlier, Red is the official Telugu remake of Tamil film Thadam, which featured Arun Vijay in two roles. In the Telugu film, Ram Pothineni will be found in two roles alongside Nivetha Pethuraj, Malvika Sharma and Amritha Aiyer assuming major roles.
The technical team of Red includes author Mani Sharma, cinematographer Sameer Reddy and editor Junaid Siddiqui.
Ram Pothineni tasted success with iSmart Shankar after confronting a series of failures. He has his expectations high to his forthcoming flick, Red. The Tamil form of Red titled Thadam got a positive response from the audience.
