Director Aditya Dhar’s military drama featuring Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam ahead of the pack jobs ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ is going strong in the box office and has risen as the first hit film of 2019. The film has well managed to break the movies predominance held by Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Simmba’. ‘Uri’ conflicted with Anupam Kher’s ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ in the box office, both focused on nationhood and nationalism. The movie has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark and has been commended by the group of audience. ‘Uri’ released on 11 January.
Uri Box Office Collection Day 6 Collects Rs 7.50 Cr
According to the latest report, on Wednesday, on Wednesday, the film has managed to collect Rs 7.50 crore on its 6th day in the box office. The film has till now managed to collect a sum of Rs 62.75 crore in six days in the box office.
The film depends on the surgical strikes completed on September 29, 2016, by the Indian Army on terrorist launchpads over the Line of Control. The strikes were completed in countering to a fear monger attack on a military camp at Uri prior that month.
Written and directed by Aditya Dhar, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ is created by Ronnie Screwvala. ‘Uri’ was declared by the maker following one year of the surgical strike in September 2017. The film also stars Kirti Kulhari, Paresh Rawal, and Mohit Raina in lead jobs.
