Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘ Saaho’ has been all the rage since the declaration. The trailer and the songs of the film have received a lot of love from all of the quarters. The film is viewed as one of the most foreseen movies of the year. The multilingual action flick is one most expensive films throughout the history of Indian film.

After a gigantic pre-release buzz around the film, it has finally hit the screens on August 30. However, the northern states confronted a postponement in the release owing to late delivery of 2K prints to theaters. Information from a popular news source reveals that ‘Saaho’ rounded up Rs 24 crore on its opening day.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Saaho has a superb Day 1… Prabhas’ superstardom post #Baahubali2 + hype surrounding the biggie + excellent advance bookings ensured fantastic numbers… Day 2 and 3 biz crucial to pack a solid weekend total… Fri ₹ 24.40 cr Nett BOC. India biz. #Hindi version.”
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala wrote on Twitter, “#Saaho registers 100 cr+ gross opening in #India alone on Day 1..”
The film performed well in Mumbai, Gujarat just as Marathwada. The collection in the North was less because of the late arrival of the prints.
The report further expresses that the opening day collection is the third-best of the year in the Hindi market. Also, for a Hindi-named south film, is the second-best after ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’. ‘Saaho’ has crossed Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer ‘2.0’ which was at the second position.
Helmed by Sujeeth, the film also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff, Mandira Bedi, Chunky Panday, Arun Vijay, Mahesh Manjrekar, Murali Sharma and many others.
For the unversed, at first ‘Saaho’ was scheduled for Independence Day release, nonetheless, the producers postponed the date as the post-production works were not finished. Likewise, release the film on a similar day as Akshay Kumar’s ‘Mission Mangal’ and John Abraham’s ‘Batla House’ would have affected the collections of ‘Saaho’.
