Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh keeps on printing cash in the box office and is remaining steadfast, regardless of extreme challenge from Ayushmann Khurrana’s Article 15, which released on Friday.
Kabir Singh Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 10
Kabir Singh earned Rs 17.10 crore on Saturday and is required to have earned Rs 18 crore on Sunday, carrying its total collection to around Rs 180 crore approx. As indicated by film critics, if the film keeps up the pace, it could without much of a stretch cross Rs 200 crore before the week’s over.
Kabir Singh, directed by Sandeep Vanga is an official change of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. It spins around a hot-headed specialist, who goes on a downward spiral after his darling leaves him.
Despite the fact that the film is having some fantastic luck in the box office, it has been hammered the film for its misogyny and toxic masculinity. A film critic Ananya Bhattacharya gave the film 1.5 out of 5 stars and expressed,
“The women in Kabir Singh are beaten, kissed without consent, forced to take off their pants at knifepoint, slapped and treated like street dogs. Strike that. Kabir Singh’s dog gets a meatier role and better treatment than his women in this mess of a film.”
However, Shahid’s mother Neelima Azeem and his sibling Ishaan Khatter have defended the film furiously and said that it simply great film and people ought to welcome it.
‘Ishaan wrote an emotional post for Shahid congratulating him on the success, which read, “As happy as can be for my big brother today who’s always been a shining example of a human being for me. Not a doubt in the world that you deserve the smashing success but it continues to baffle me how you were able to play one of the most complex, lost and damaged characters with such perfection while returning home to being the most centered, loving and responsible family man I know. Thank you for showing me what it means to be a responsible son, father, husband and brother always AND for knocking me out with your performance in and as #KabirSingh.”
The film also stars Arjan Bajwa, Soham Majumdar, Kamini Kaushal, Suresh Oberoi, and Nikita Dutta in key roles. Kabir Singh is the fourth greatest Hindi opener in the box office this year and the just one to not release on holiday.
