Likewise featuring Kiara Advani, Kabir Singh also has had the most elevated earning end of the week this year among non-occasion releases. It vanquished Total Dhamaal to accomplish this achievement. This is in spite of generally negative surveys the film has gotten. While the critics disliked it, the crowds have lapped it up.
“#KabirSingh benchmarks…Crossed ₹ 50 cr: Day 3 ₹ 100 cr: Day 5. Will cross ₹ 150 cr today [Day 9] It’s difficult to guesstimate the *lifetime biz* of #KabirSingh, since the film refuses to slow down… Best trending film of 2019 [so far]. India biz. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER,” shared trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
“The good thing about Kabir Singh is that I was getting to play a type of character that had a lot to do as an actor, and I was getting to do it in a film that I think is pretty wide in its appeal. The love story in it is also so different. So I didn’t think much. I wanted to take up this as a challenge. I didn’t want to ruin it, that’s all,” Shahid Kapoor had earlier said on playing Kabir Singh.
