Rajinikanth starrer Darbar in getting a charge out of a splendid run at the ticket windows and the collections that are turning out are speaking volumes of megastar’s appeal universally. The film has accomplished a milestone by crossing the 200 crore mark in its overall run.
Darbar Box Office Collection Crosses Rs 200 Cr Mark in 11 Days
Toward the end of 11 days dramatic run, Darbar has netted more than 200 crores globally. According to the trade analysts, Darbar has collected around 71 crores from worldwide circuits and around 134 crores net from India. From Tamil Nadu alone, the film has collected 80 crores.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, Darbar released on 11th January 2020. The film also includes Nayanthara, Prateik Babbar, Dalip Tahil and Suniel Shetty, in key roles.
Then, during the trailer launch of the film, Rajinikanth said that he would love to explore the idea of playing a transgender in a film.
“I have explored almost all the genres. I have worked in 160 films and it’s been 45 years in the film industry. I want to play the role of a transgender,”
When asked as to whether there still was any kind of role that he might want to explore after such glorious innings in films.
The veteran actor also talked about his desire to work in a Marathi film sometime in the future, since his roots have a place with Maharashtra. He included that his energy for acting has been the driving factor throughout the previous 45 years.
