Director Ram Gopal Varma is back in the spotlight, and this time for another debate. On Saturday, Kurnool MLA SV Mohan Reddy documented a protest against the executive for “criticizing” Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party boss Chandrababu Naidu in the disputable song Vennupotu (manipulating) from RGV’s up and coming film Lakshmi’s NTR. The song proposes that Chandrababu Naidu deceived TDP organizer Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and rose to control.
In the complaint to Kurnool II Town police, Mohan Reddy said, “The meaning of the song conveys as if our Chandrababu Naidu had plotted a conspiracy and back stabbed Ex. Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (sic).”

Addressing the media, Mohan Reddy said that RGV ought to be booked for defamation and that a criminal argument has to be documented against him.
