It’s Day 5 of the 21-day lockdown declared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On March 28, social media was overflowed with rumors that the Chennai Corporation has asked legendary actor-politician Kamal Haasan to isolate himself at his home.
Chennai Corporation pastes home quarantine sticker in front of Kamal Haasan’s house
Photos of the quarantine sticker glued by the organization authorities before Kamal Haasan’s home at Alwarpet are turning into an online sensation. In any case, Kamal Haasan, in an announcement stated, that his Alwarpet habitation hosts been changed over into his party (Makkal Needhi Maiam) office.
He further included that he resides in another house and is by and by in self-segregation as a prudent step. Rumors also recommended that he could have gotten the coronavirus. Kamal Haasan explicitly denied the news in his ongoing articulation.
After the disarray, Chennai Corporation authorities removed the sticker that was stuck before his home.
The Commissioner of Greater Chennai Corporation G Prakash said, “Our staff pasted the quarantine sticker at Kamal Haasan’s residence because Gautami (his ex-partner) had returned from Dubai recently and her passport has his address.”
The speculation regarding Kamal Haasan being quarantined surfaced because of the type of stickers used by the Tamil Nadu government. Homes that had suspected cases of the novel coronavirus have stickers that read, “COVID-19/Do Not Visit/Home Under Quarantine.”
However, the sticker that was pasted in front of Kamal Haasan’s office bore the words, “We are in Home Quarantine to safeguard ourselves and Chennai from Corona.”
A few days back, Kamal Haasan offered to change over his home into a temporary hospital to treat the Covid-19 positive cases.
