Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala Box Office Collection Day 2
Bala had a wonderful first day in the box office. The film got the greatest opening of Ayushmann’s profession. It minted Rs 10.15 crore on the first day of its release. Running houseful in many theaters, Bala entered at the end of the week with much commotion. The film made Rs 15.73 crore on its first Saturday.
Ayushmann took to Instagram to thank fans for lauding his film. He wrote, “Aaj yeh film meri nahi hai. Aapki hai. Yeh kahaani sirf #Bala ki nahi hai. Un sabhi Bala jaise sadak pe chalte logon ki hai joh khud ki talaash mein hain. Pyaar ke liye shukriya.”
Bala got great reviews from critics and audiences the same. Many Bollywood famous people also took to online life to adulate the film. Bala sees Ayushmann, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam assume lead roles. The movie is directed by Amar Kaushik and is created by Dinesh Vijan.
Our reviewer, Jyoti Kanyal gave the film 4 out of 5 stars and wrote, “From the societal standards of beauty to gender stereotypes, Bala fights several taboo topics and that too without compromising on the laughter. The makers have made the film with the empathy it requires to deal with such topics sans being awkward and hurting anyone’s sentiments. The writing by Niren Bhatt is sharp, intelligent and contemporary. He manages to bring out the essence of a small town like Kanpur through its quirks and is successful in connecting the world to people in metro cities. Deliberately peppered with Bollywood references (from Deewar to Gully Boy), there is never a dull moment in this film that adores Bollywood.”
