Due to adivasi agitation that began since yesterday in Odisha, a few examinees for the Group D post was not able on to achieve their exam centers. Thinking about this circumstance, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has postponed the exams booked on Tuesday, September 25 in the state.
CPO Northern Railway, Angaraj Mohan said, “Taking note of the report that candidates cannot appear for the scheduled Group D examinations in centres of Odisha today, the board has decided to postpone the exams in Odisha. The new dates will be released after October 16.”
RRB Group D Odisha Exam Postponed Due To Adivasi Agitation
The adivasi agitation has hit the railway services in Kharagpur division of South Eastern Zone, a few trains were dropped, and different expresses and local trains were stuck at different stations of Kharagpur-Tatanagar, Kharagpur-Howrah, Kharagpur-Bhadrak and Kharagpur-Adra areas.
As per the report, the hopefuls staged protest yesterday at Howrah station after a few trains were dropped. The prepare crossing out made a gigantic inconvenience Group D competitors who have their examinations in Bhubaneshwar.
State education minister Partha Chatterjee rebuked the SER specialists for the inconvenience, saying, “Where is the RPF now? What were they doing when the blockade was put up? There is something fishy about this. We are monitoring the situation.”
The Railway Recruitment Board has also put off the examinations in Bhopal which is booked to be led on 25th September, some local news dailies have detailed that BJP workers meeting will be hung on a similar date.
As per the latest updates from the Railway Recruitment Board, the RRB will conduct the written test for Group D in the month of October. The RRB Odisha Group D New Exam dates will be announced after 16th October.
