Gold prices in India rose today
In worldwide markets, gold prices were higher today as worries over the effect of coronavirus on the worldwide economy kept on setting off a move away from more riskier assets. Spot gold costs were up 0.3% to $1,644.11 per ounce. Among different valuable metals, silver edged up 0.3% to $17.93 an ounce while platinum inched up 0.2% to $912.44 and palladium rose 1.4% to $2,829.12 per ounce.
Gold’s safe-haven demand may push costs higher, as speculators look for invaluable metals on rising fears of a pandemic, says Hareesh V, head of the commodity at Geojit Financial Services. Simultaneously, moderate physical market exercises and chances of more significant level profit booking may scratch significant upsides, he included.
In terms of technicals, “while prices stay above $1620 expect rallies to continue with stiff resistance seen at $1662 followed by $1695 levels. A close below $1595 is required to negate the bullish outlook,” Hareesh V.
Meanwhile, the holding of SPDR Gold Trust, the world’s biggest gold-backed exchange-traded store or gold ETF, said its possessions fell 0.5% to 935.70 tons on Wednesday.
In worldwide markets, gold prices are up 8% this year, supported by an increasing number of coronavirus cases worldwide that take steps to reduce worldwide economic activity.
Global financial powerhouse Goldman Sachs has raised its price forecast for gold, saying that “in the event that the virus effect spreads to Q2, we could see gold top $1800/oz already on a 3-month basis.” Goldman also raised its silver forecast.
China today announced 29 more deaths from the coronavirus epidemic, the lowest daily figure is close to 30 days, yet the spread of the infection outside the nation has raised cautions. South Korea has right around 1,600 cases, the most elevated outside China, while Italy has 400. The two nations have announced 12 passings.
US President Donald Trump said Wednesday he was thinking about US travel limitations on Italy and South Korea over coronavirus fears. Public Health Officials on Wednesday cautioned Americans to get ready for more infection cases and New York City reported plans to give up to 1,200 medical clinic beds if necessary.
