Audi Q3 gets a petrol variant
Audi has finally launched a new petrol variant of Audi Q3 SUV in India with a price tag of Rs. 32.2 lakh.
The launch of the petrol variant adds to the exiting lineup of diesel variants of the Q3 – 2.0 TDI FWD with a price of Rs 34.2 lakh and a 2.0 TDI Quattro variant with price of Rs 37.2 lakh. The petrol variant of the Q3 SUV is powered by 1.4-litre TFSI FWD petrol engine.
Since its market launch in 2011, the Q3 model series has been a successful model for the Audi brand. With an eye to build upon the success of the diesel variants of the Q3 and to offer something extra to petrol variant customers, the Q3 only features a refreshed design, they also boast a number of new technical features.
The new 1.4-litre TFSI FWD petrol engine generates 150hp power and gives a mileage of 16.9 km per litre. Company said that the new Audi Q3 can accelerate from 0 to 100 in 8.9 seconds. The new engine is mated with a 6 speed S Tronic automatic transmission system.
To make the petrol variant different from the diesel variant Audi has done some changes on the interior by offering different color of brown inlays which is not available in the diesel variant.
The other features used in petrol variant are the same as the diesel variant including 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, panoramic sunroof, cruise control and Audi’s ‘Deluxe’ dual-zone auto climate control being offered as standard.
The new Audi Q3 petrol is likely to compete with the Mercedes GLA 200 pricing Rs 35.18 lakh and BMW X1 which is not currently offered in petrol variant.
