2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire will most likely be launched in May this year and while we haven’t received images from the car’s official photo-op yet, it turns out there are a few non-camouflaged versions of the Dzire already zooming on road.

Reports have emerged of a 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire in full view being photographed. The main attraction of the car is its new four-slat grille with the heavy chrome surround and the new sculpted bonnet. Along the fog lamp there are large chrome accent and a wide airdam. The car also contains projector lamps and the LED daytime running lights.

The interior and exterior photos of the third Generation Swift Dzire prove that the car has been heavily upgraded to give a premium look. The rear of the new Swift Dzire remains the same with the current model but there are some features like new LED taillamps a heavy chrome slat above the number plate housing gives the rear look more attractive than its predecessor.

Inside the bonnet the engine remains the same 1.3 litre DDIS engine for diesel variant and the 1.2 litre petrol variant. Suzuki made a little upgrade inside the bonnet by giving the new Swift Dzire SHVS badging, which means the new Swift Dzire will now come with Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki system like the one in Ciaz. The diesel engine will come matted with the 5-speed manual gearbox along with an option AMT unit, while the Petrol variant will come matted with the 5-speed manual gearbox along with 4-speed auto gear box.

Once launched, the Swift Dzire is likely to compete with the Honda Amaze, Ford Aspire, Volkswagen Ameo and the upcoming Hyundai Xcent facelift. The car will be priced in the range of ₹ 5 lakh to ₹ 8.5 lakh and considering the government has withdrawn FAME ( Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles) subsidies for mild hybrids the diesel models will be pricey.
