Barack Obama Promotes Environment Friendly Bio fuel
United States President Barack Obama released a statement on his Facebook page on 24th June saying, “By 2022, there will be 36 billion gallons of biofuel per year in America’s fuel supply. Producing renewable energy in the U.S. will create jobs, combat global warming, reduce fossil fuel dependence, and lay a foundation for a strong rural economy.”
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) released a report, outlining the current state of renewable energy efforts in America and a plan to increase the production, marketing, and distribution of biofuels.
President Obama will attend the 36th G8 summit on 25 June, followed by G20 on 26 June.
