BJP’s 12 hour Bharat Bandh successful
The 12 hour Bharat Bandh called by the BJP as a nationwide protest of the Amarnath Shrine Board fiasco was successful in Barak Valley also.
The Part members organized demonstrations at various places and stopped Public vehicles and pulled down shutters of commercial organizations. In a Press release given by the Party’s district president Mr. Udhayshankar Gosami informed the detailed agenda of their bandh and made their stance very clear that , if the fiasco is not settled in an amicable manner, many such nationwide protests will follow.
The Party unit in the state has been associated with some last moment twist in the tale of late. There has been some rift about party’s Mp election candidature from the Silchar seat. But today all members seemed to be united about this issue and came out in full numbers to make the bandh a success.
