Human chain markes BJP strike
It was unique and also a noble way to protest against
escalating price rise of all commodities and the abject failure of the
UPA Government to rein in the hike . BJP leaders and workers from the
grassroot level as planned earlier formed human chains at different
places of the town and blocks of the valley , many of them hanging
placards around their necks displaying price list and also comparative
figures of the same during the NDA and UPA regimes .
BJP picketeers were seen blocking the movement of vehicular traffic at
strategic points. Reports from across the valley said that all
incoming and outgoing short and long distance buses, private and
public did not ply. The highways and roads were deserted. However
railway and flight service were not affected .
“yesterday’s strike was a signal and message to the UPA Government
about people’s deep anger and resentment against its irresponsible
policy”.
