Investigations demanded on primary school food distribution corruption
Eastern Resource Development Society and South Hailakandi Development Youth Society called for a public meeting on 19th March to discuss about the primary school child-food distribution and cooking shed construction corruption.
The guardians complained that the teachers are avoiding when they are asked questions about the exact amount of food allotted to each student. The promoters are also moving away with large commissions from cooking shed construction leaving them unfinished.
Dilowar Hussain Barobhuniya, representative of the organizations, remarked that they are looking forward to the intervention of the Hailakandi District Magistrate and minister Gautam Roy in the matter. He threatened to move to the court if the problem is not solved.
