Governor sets a new trend
The newly appointed Governor of Assam His Excellency Sri. Shivcharan Mathur has set a new trend in the state. Unlikehis predecessors who had taken their oath within the confines of the Raj Bhawan , Sri Mathur came out of Raj Bhawan and took his oath of office in front of the gathered guests. He said that as a Governor of a state he has the responsibility to look into the welfare of the state. And his actions and decisions should be influenced by public opinion and conscience.
He said that he believes in transparency of functioning in any office and that his office is no exception. He once again reinforced his promises and said that a single minded focus towards the development of Assam is his prime motive.
